Blog Worthy

So, yesterday at my side of the family's Christmas celebration my 3-year-old nephew had an insight he felt needed to be shared. My daughter, Hannah, who is 6-years-old, had received some, more like, a lot of make-up for Christmas from my sister...thanks, Mary! As she was putting her new eyeshadow on her cheeks, Sam said, "It's sad that girl's don't have penises." Then a few minutes later he followed-up with, "Hannah, maybe Santa will bring you a penis."

Everyone was rolling on the floor laughing at the statements. They were both made with such sincerity and concern. Thanks, Sam. One day he'll learn it's not such a sad thing. :)

I hope the Easter Bunny can drive a snowmobile.

Sick, Sicker, and Sickest

I am soooo ready for spring, for many reason.

We have been sick in our house since the beginning of January. It started with the stomach flu for all of us. Yuck. This was followed by sinus infections and ear infections. Yuck, yuck. Now the kids have the croup with ear infections. Yuck, yuck, yuck!!!!!!

Can we please be healthy now?

Last night at the dinner table, David and I were talking to Hannah about how her day went at preschool. She told us they learned the letter "E" and they had made crowns to wear for the day because it was Hat Day. (I don't know the correlation between the letter "E" and Hat Day but whatever). For the most part, this was a routine conversation with our 5-year-old but then our 5-year-old turned 16. She began to tell us that she was kissing some boys in her class and the boys weren't big fans of her affections. I explained to her that it was fine for her to kiss her brother, her cousin, her dad, her grandpa's etc. but there wasn't a need for her to be kissing other boys yet. This type of kissing comes later....when you get older. Hannah's eyes then filled up with tears and she began to protest by saying "but I am older", as if she was 16 and we just ruined her life because we told her that she couldn't date a certain boy.

I fear the real 16.

It's lovely out today.

The sun is shining and it's about 40 degrees. I feel like I should be "spring cleaning" and not wearing a coat when I go outside.

This wednesday is the big ultrasound. Wish us luck.

I'm back on track....

So, I decided that I would try this blogging thing again. I guess my biggest news of the moment is that I am prego again. My due date is May 11 and I'm doing well. We hopefully find out the sex of the baby next month. I am looking forward to this so I can start getting rid of everything from the opposite gender. So, if anyone is interested...I will, hopefully, be having a huge baby sale this spring. Yippee. This child better cooperate and bare all when the time comes next month or I'll be livid!!
